Here you may find few useful tips to stay awake when in traffic:

  • Stay AwakeIf you already feel tired or sick, don’t drive
  • Plan your routeplan beforehand
  • Adjust your driving position to be straight and ergonomic but not too comfortable
  • Have a pause at least every 2 to 3 hours
  • For a snack have a sandwich or fruits
  • Avoid meals with too much carbohydrates which can cause tiredness
  • When you have a break wash your face with fresh water and enjoy beverages with caffeine and vitamins
  • You may recognize your tiredness of driving too fast or doing sudden and unnecessary steering movements
  • You should remember that people are most tired after lunch or at night between one and five o’clock
  • Discuss with your companion or listen to the radio
  • When necessary park your car and do some exercise which increases blood circulation and cheers you up
  • Try to have a short nap. Park your car safely and take a nap of 15 to 20 minutes
  • You may ask your partner to drive instead
  • Try to have a good night sleep
